The incident occurred yesterday, Tuesday, downstairs in 770, where a group of ‘Tzfatis,’ who are in Kevutzeh, began harassing the Shliach. The Bochurim were upset over the Shliach’s encroaching on ‘their own’ ‘mushroom’s territory.
The harassment began with them shouting “you are fighting the Rebbe” and “you must do teshuva”, but when words failed the group resorted to stealing his Tallis and Tefillin and refused to return them.
At first, Kvutzeh Hanhalah refused to get involved, but after a warning that the authorities would be called the Tefillin were swiftly returned.
The thief was identified as Levi Reinitz, a Bochur from Emanuel, Israel, who is in his second year of Kvutzeh. He has been involved in a number of incidents in which he terrorized others who don’t follow in his own agenda. Another Kvutzeh member – Mendel Amitai from Hertzelia – shouted him down to distract him from the theft.
Earlier this year the same Amitai beat up a Bochur and broke his glasses – the bochur was helping out the Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim arrange places for Bochurim to stay. The same individual stole a box of Kovtzim on Lag Baomer because they didn’t have ‘Yechi’ on them.
Shalom Cohen, another ‘Tzfati’ who has been in Kvutzeh for over four years, stole the pants of another Bochur in the mikvah who was helping out this Shliach last Tishrei. Cohen also served as a witness and testified against the Shomrim Six in court last year.
The Shliach has a younger brother in Kvutzeh this year, who is the victim of perpetual harassment by these same individuals day in and day out, because of their disapproval of his older brother’s actions.
The Hanhalah of the Yeshiva refused to comment when questioned why these Bochurim are still welcome in yeshiva.
Correction: The Hanholo of Kvutzah, Rabbi Kuti Feldman, did in fact help out and fought to have the Tefillin returned. Rabbi Avrohom Osdoba, who was in 770 when the incident occured, gave permission to call the police if the Tefillin weren’t immediately returned.

FWI Kvutza is one year. Any Tomim who stays on is stam learning in 770 (hopefully), and definately not be involved in any extra-curricular activities, certainly not the ones you report.

I can’t respect someone who tries to stop another yid from spreading Torah, whether by din torah or by any other means. Torah is not private property, and nor is the Rebbe.

Both my wife and I as well as my son had to sign an agreement to adhere to the rules and regulations of high school. They should enforce similar policies for the kvutza.

Let me fill you in: Drizin hates the Rebbe because the Rebbe once insulted (in his eyes) his father and he swore that he will never have a full beard because of that and he will never dress like a Chossid (Chosheed), since then he uses every opportunity to take revenge of the Rebbe by supporting the destroyers of the Rebbe’s Moisdois. That’s the sad fact.
I remember when Krinsky took Drizin to the Rebbe to ask for his daughter (Schneyerson) to have children (many years after her marriage), he did it twice (that I saw), once by the Machne Israel Development fund meeting upstairs in 770 (5748), and the second time on Simchas Torah in the morning during Hakofos, that’s why Drizin hates Krinsky because he needed his services to help him get a Bracha from the Rebbe of whom he is now taking revenge.
