Menorah Parade Creates Buzz in NJ Towns

Chabad of Western Monmouth County, NJ, celebrated Chanukah on Monday, December 22, with a public Menorah lighting by Marlboro Mayor Jon Hornick at Marlboro Plaza.  The giant Menorah lighting capped-off a parade of 50 cars adorned with custom-designed Chanukah Menorahs, popularizing the holiday through Marlboro and Manalapan Townships.

The Parade was escorted by the Marlboro and Manalapan police departments.

“We are always looking for new ideas to keep the kids and adults at the edge of their seats. A Menorah Parade is a perfect way to publicize the holiday,” said Rabbi Shmuly of Chabad.

The Parade did just that. Upon the conclusion of the event, Facebook was covered in comments and photos from passersby about what they saw.
