For the First Time: Car Menorah Parade in Lakewood!

For the very first time, a car-menorah parade took place in Lakewood, NJ on the last day Chanukah, arranged by Lakewood Shliach Rabbi Yerachmiel Altman, along with Rabbi Moshe Gourarie (Chabad of Toms River) and Rabbi Levi Schapiro (Yeshiva Bais Menachem, Manalapan, NJ).

In a tour sure to start a tradition, they made their way from Lakewood through Howell and back. They made sure to visit a number of shopping centers, as well as a few of the local Lakewood landmarks.

Special thanks to haTamim Meir Moshe halevi Altman for planning, organizing and leading the parade, and for his continuous work to light up the world with nightly outdoor menorah lightings.

Thanks also go to the Buchurim from the Bais Menachem smicha program for their support and interest in bringing this project to fruition. After the parade, a farbrengen was held in honor of Zos Chanukah and for the complete and immediate refuah Shleima of haShlucha Chaya Draizel Merka bas Malka.
