Aryeh Leib Hurwitz performs a Stirring “Atah Chonen”

Cantor Aryeh Leib Hurwitz brings the beloved melody of the Kaliver Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Taub, to life in a powerful performance of “Atah Chonen,” recorded at Yuval’s 2024 “Chassidic Treasury” concert in Israel.

Blending Chassidic soul, expressive chazanut, and orchestral grandeur, the performance features Cantor Moshe Stern’s cantorial interpretation, arranged by legendary pianist Dr. Chanan Winternitz and expanded for symphony orchestra by conductor Ofir Sobol.

This week also marks the 31st yahrzeit of Dr. Winternitz, honoring his lasting contribution to Jewish music.
