New Shluchim to Serve Jewish Students at Lafayette College

Rabbi Sadya and Chanale Liberow are embarking on a new chapter as they join the Rebbe’s army of Shluchim, taking up a new campus Shlichus at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania.

The Liberows will serve Jewish students at Lafayette as well as the broader Jewish community in Easton and the surrounding Lehigh Valley, working in connection with Chabad of the Lehigh Valley. Their goal is to establish a warm and welcoming Jewish home on and around the college campus, where students can connect with their Jewish heritage and experience the warmth of Yiddishkeit.

Lafayette has an established Jewish presence, with approximately 250 Jewish undergraduate students—about 9% of the student body, according to local Jewish organizations.

The Liberows hope to complement and expand Jewish life on campus by being a personal address for students throughout their college years—providing opportunities to celebrate Yiddishkeit, build meaningful friendships, learn about their heritage and experience Jewish life in a personal and welcoming environment.

“We are excited and humbled to be embarking on a new chapter of life,” the Liberows said. “We are passionate about this mission and the impact it can have on the Jewish students we meet and the wider Jewish community.”

The couple is now looking forward to bringing the Rebbe’s message of Jewish warmth and light to a new generation of Jewish students in Easton and throughout the region.
