35 Years Since the Rebbe’s Landmark Distribution, Dvar Malchus is Accessible to All

Last Shabbos marked 35 years since the Rebbe distributed a landmark booklet of his own sichos (a distribution that happened only once) to every person. Contained in the booklet, known as Dvar Malchus 12, are four foundational sichos of the Rebbe on the Rambam’s Hilchos Moshiach.

The third of the four sichos published in the Dvar Malchus is related to the second of this week’s Parshiyos, Parshas Bechukosai. The Torah promises  extraordinary blessings when Yidden learn Torah and keep mitzvos: abundant food, peace in the land, safety, and the removal of harmful animals. Many of these blessings will reach their fullest expression in the times of Moshiach.

Yet the Rambam writes that the natural order of the world will not fundamentally change in the era of redemption. “The world will continue according to its pattern.”

At first glance, that seems difficult to reconcile with the incredible prophecies described throughout Torah. A world of total peace? No war? No suffering? Is that nature as we know it?

In this sicha, the Rebbe explains how these ideas fit together and what the promises of redemption truly mean according to the Rambam.

For a limited time, you can download an English edition of this sicha to learn over Shabbos for freeby clicking here.

Published in recent years, the translated Dvar Malchus, produced through a joint partnership between Sichos in English and the Moshiach Office at Merkos 302, helped make the sichos more accessible for study.

“Moshiach is at the core of our mission,” Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Executive Director of Merkos 302, said. “Every Chossid, young and old, should be able to learn and understand the Rebbe’s sichos on Moshiach and Geulah.”
