TTOP Choir Crowns Kislev Melava Malka

Tomchei Tmimim Ocean Parkway held a meaningful Father & Son Melava Malka this Motzei Shabbos, in honor of the Chassidishe Yomim Tovim of 9–10 Kislev, connected with the Mitteler Rebbe’s birthday, histalkus, and geula.

The evening opened with fathers and sons sitting together to learn a sicha of the Rebbe, exploring the story and lessons of Yud Kislev and the unique avodah of the Mitteler Rebbe, while enjoying a lavish Melava Malka Seuda.

Following the learning, the crowd heard uplifting words from Rabbi Aaron Cousin, former headmaster of the Lubavitch Boys School in London and grandfather of TTOP talmidim Shmuel and Menny Cousin. As is customary on Motzei Shabbos, Rabbi Cousin shared a meaningful story of the Baal Shem Tov, highlighting its powerful lesson as it relates to chinuch.

The program continued with a stunning performance by the TTOP Choir. They sang the beautiful niggunim of Haben Yakir Li and Niye Chadi Ti, a niggun composed by Reb Yitzchok Rivkin describing the yearning of a child for Lubavitch — see video here

To conclude, everyone joined a bingo game on the topic and details of Tes–Yud Kislev, creating a fun and interactive way to review the meaningful story of the Mitteler Rebbe’s life.
