A Joyous Celebration: Mikveh Raphael and Beit Yosef Yitzchok Shul Open in New Haven

With heartfelt joy and pride, the Israeli Jewish community of New Haven gathered to celebrate a truly momentous occasion—the grand opening of Mikveh Raphael and Beit Yosef Yitzchok Shul. These beautiful new institutions were lovingly constructed and donated by Rabbi Eliyahu and Racheli Zohar, in honor of their beloved parents: Rabbi Yosef and Nani Zohar, and Mrs. Naomi Lucky and Rabbi Moshe Yitzhak Lucky, a”h. Their legacy of faith, warmth, and devotion now lives on in the heart of the community.

The celebration marked the realization of a dream long nurtured by Rabbi Eli Raskin and his wife, who have served as the Rebbe’s emissaries to the Israeli community with unwavering dedication. Their leadership, passion, and deep love for the community brought this vision to life—a vibrant and permanent center for prayer, learning, and spiritual connection.

This was more than just an opening—it was a celebration of unity, heritage, and hope.

Two sacred spaces. One powerful mission. A heart full of holiness, love, and light for the people of Israel.

Where is the establishment? Where are the shluchim shame on them they are only there for their own families and pockets. There’s a lot more to say, but leave it at that.
