Vaad Hatmimim Invests in Major Upgrade for the Tishrei Guests
For over a decade, the Vaad Hatmimim has been dedicated to providing for the needs of hundreds of Bochurim who come to spend the month of Tishrei in the Rebbe’s court.
With the help of generous donors, the Vaad provides accommodation in spacious apartments, three nutritious and high-quality daily meals in Ohlei Torah Ballroom, along with many other services like daily transportation to and from the Ohel, subsidized kaparos, Lulav and Esrog, and more.
Equally important, is the concern for the ruchniyus of the Bochurim which the Rebbe strongly emphasized the importance of.
In the Shabbos farbrengen a few days before Rosh Hashonoh 5722, the Rebbe spoke about the importance of Torah learning, particularly as it pertains to the guests who come to spend Tishrei in 770, and the Rebbe instructed Reb Zushe Vilimovski to take responsibility for organizing shiurim for the orchim.
Reb Zushe carried out the Rebbe’s directive, organizing many shiurim throughout the month which brought great satisfaction to the Rebbe. This is evident from the numerous responses that Reb Zushe received on duchos (reports) he submitted to the Rebbe with the names of the participants in these shiurim.
Today, the Vaad remains committed to fulfilling the Rebbe’s call for structured learning for the Tishrei guests, and organizes a robust learning program throughout the month.
The learning program is complete with full daily schedules, prepared learning materials, shiurim delivered by Roshei Yeshivos and Maggidei Shiurim, weekly tests and responsible oversight by designated mashgichim.
In addition to the regular daily schedule of learning, the Vaad goes above and beyond to prepare an array of beautifully produced publications with collections of sichos pertaining to each Yomtov as well as other topics, together with personal accounts from chassidim, and divrei hisoirerus. Multiple panels, and regular farbrengens with renowned Mashpi’im and Shluchim are held throughout the month.
This year, an additional effort has been made to enhance the learning program. Over a hundred older Bochurim hired to oversee designated groups of younger Bochurim, ensuring that each Bochur has proper chavrusos and receives the support they need.
Additionally, a dedicated website has been established for parents and Hanholas HaYeshiva to receive daily updates of all of the goings on, where they can track the participation of each bochur throughout the month.
“With Hashem’s help, these new initiatives aim to enrich the Bochurim’s time spent near the Rebbe, fostering a deeper connection to the Rebbe year-round” said Vaad Hatmimim director Rabbi Tzvi Altein.
