Essex Jewish Community Communal Grand BBQ for Lag B’omer Features Rabbis Gladiator Dual
For Lag B’Omer, the Essex community came out in force and numbers to celebrate together with another amazingly successful Communal BBQ and Fun Day. Over 350 people participated enjoying rides, entertainment, music and amazing food.
The event was a joint effort of 16 local organizations spearheaded by a team from Chabad Buckhurst Hill lead by Greg Warren, Howard Wise and Rabbi Odom Brandman. The event was run by volunteers who all got involved to help make this years Cross Communal BBQ the best it could be.
Special features this year was a Circus Workshop where the children could learn juggling and other circus tricks and a huge 30ft bouncy gladiator dual. Each year, two Rabbis, Rabbi Mendy Brukirer of Aish Essex and Rabbi Odom Brandman from Chabad Buckhurst Hill entertained the crowd by having it out on the gladiator dual together.
Another successful event all round and the community is already talking about the next one!
