Senator Tries on Chabad Rabbi’s Fedora

Senator Ben Sasse (R-Nebraska) tweeted this photo today of his colleague, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina), who bumped into the Cunin brothers from Chabad of California on Capitol Hill.

“Lindsey literally struck up the conversation with ‘Hey Fellas. I love your hats,’” wrote Sasse, and the rabbis happily let him try on their headgear for a photo.

The same group of rabbis later bumped into Jewish Senator Al Franken (D-Minnesota), who “broke out in ‘shalom aleichem’ and a dance,” according to a reporter who witnessed the scene.
