First in 25 Years: Shluchim of Europe to Unite

25 after the first Kinus of all the Chabad Shluchim of Europe, which took place in the crumbling Soviet Union, the Shluchim of the European continent will once again gather for an historic Kinus.

According to Shturem.net, the Kinus will take place in the summer of 2016, around Chof Av, the Rebbe’s father’s yahrtzeit, in Moscow, Russia. The Kinus will last for about week, and include seminars, workshops, dinners and inspiring Farbrengens.

The original details were hammered out in a closed meeting between the senior Shluchim in Europe and Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, vice-chairman of Merkos. The meeting was held in Milan, Italy, and was hosted by Head Shliach to Italy Rabbi Gershon Mendel Gorelik.

Participating in the meeting as well were: Rabbi Moshe Lazar (Milan, Italy), Rabbi Avrohom Chazan (Milan, Italy), Rabbi Berel Lazar (Moscow, Russia), Rabbi Y.Y. Biderman (Vienna, Austria), Rabbi Shabtai Slavaticky (Antwerp, Belgium), Rabbi Yisroel Diskin (Munich, Germany), Rabbi Mendel Rosenfeld (Zurich, Switzerland), Rabbi Bentzion Sudak (London, UK) and Rabbi Mendel Azimov (Paris, France).

In honor of the historic resolution, Shturem.net published a series of reports that were sent into the Rebbe on the preparations for the first and only such Kinus that took place in 1991:

Please correct me if I am wrong.

None of the above answers from the Rebbe show that RMK (or Merkos) was the one that organized the prevuious European Kinusim.

There must be documents that show the history of a European Kinus. After all, there were only 2 in all these years. That there were only two is very strange as well.

    Am I wrong?

i remember the last one very well.
RMK WAS VERY involved & was there, not just in Russia but also in the planning before the kinus
