Vaad Serves Tens of Thousands of Meals over Tishrei

As Tishrei draws to a close, and hundreds of Bochurim make their way back to their Yeshivos, Va’ad Talmidei Hatmimim concludes a month of non-stop activity. For the first time, the Va’ad has provided accommodation for hundreds of guests and served tens of thousands of meals over the month. With all of their physical needs taken care of, the Bochurim were able to dedicate themselves to a month of learning and inspiration.

As reported before Tishrei, in response to requests from several Roshei Yeshiva, the Va’ad committed itself to provide full accommodation for the hundreds of Bochurim who have come to spend Tishrei in Crown Heights. Now, as the month concludes, the Va’ad summarizes the unprecedented success of their Tishrei programming. Hundreds of Bochurim enjoyed full accommodation and tens of thousands of catered meals were served during the month, enabling the guests to devote themselves to the spiritual purposes that brought them.

The guests were accommodated at the Va’ad’s Hachnosas Orchim building and additional locations in Crown Heights, while the meals were provided daily at Yeshivos Chovevei Torah and Hadar Hatorah. In addition to the accommodations in Crown Heights, dozens of Bochurim were hosted at the Ohel in coordination with Ohel Chabad Lubavitch.

Hundreds of parents, Roshei Yeshiva and Mashpi’im have expressed their thanks to the heads of the Va’ad Talmidei Hatmimim, Rabbis Tzvi Hirsh Altein and Shmuel Rainitz, and their dedicated supporters, Crown Heights businessmen R’ Avraham Lokshin and R’ Shneor Minski, whose generous support enabled the programs to come to fruition.
