London Boys Clock in over 10,000 Minutes of Tehilim

Lubavitch Boys’ Junior School in Stamford Hill, London.

The students of Lubavitch Boys’ School in London had a massive Chayos in saying Tehillim over Rosh Hashana. A special chart with all the different time slots where it is possible to say tehilim over Yom Tov was given out to help boys keep a track on how much they said.

The response this year was the highest ever, with some boys clocking in hundreds of minutes each; Yossele Zavdi and Sholomke Gordon said the most.

One parent commented “my son basically had a tehillim in his hands the whole Rosh Hashana”.

The total from the school was over 10,000 minutes.

The boys were entered into a raffle, depending on how long they recited tehilim and the effort they put into it.

A brand new Shofar was raffled off, which was won by Yosrolik Kesselman from Grade 6.

Additionally, the first grade enjoyed a special Tishrei Fair, with the help of Grade 6. They had the opportunity to do all the special Mitzvos of Tishrei with the right Brachos at different stalls. It was a hands-on experience, and a good time was had by all.
