Rabbi Jacobson Moved by Image of Younger Self

Rabbi Yossi Jacobson recently embarked on an Australian and South African speaking tour, with stops in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Johannesburg. In the midst of his whirlwind schedule in Melbourne, Rabbi Jacobson made the time to Farbreng with the Rabbinical College of Australia & N.Z. (Y.G. – Melbourne).

At the Farbrengen’s conclusion, the Bochurim expressed their appreciation to Rabbi Jacobson with a unique surprise. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Rabbi Jacobson served as one of the oral scribes who reviewed the Rebbe’s lengthy discourses. The Bochurim showed Rabbi Jacobson a video, nearly twenty-five year old, in which a much younger Rabbi Jacobson passionately reviewed the Rebbe’s talks for the benefit of the assembled Chassidim. Rabbi Jacobson had never seen the video before, and he was visibly moved.

Special thanks to Rabbi Moshe Kahn of Chabad Youth, and the Y.G. Shluchim, for arranging this special Farbrengen.
