Monsey Bus Driver Arrested for Abandoning Cheder Chabad Kids

A school bus driver in the East Ramapo School District was arrested for allegedly dropping off young students of the Cheder Chabad of Monsey on a busy road almost a mile away from their bus stop.

From News 12:

Bus driver Floyd James, 53, was charged with endangering the welfare of children for allegedly ending his bus route early back on Sept. 5.  He allegedly dropped off a bus full of students on the side of a busy road.

The students were ages 6 through 9 years old, and were from the Cheder Chabad Boys School.

Investigators say the students were dropped off at the intersection of Route 306 and Brick Church Way, but they were supposed to be dropped off down the road on Fessler. Police say the road is too dangerous for kids to walk on.

It’s the age of the kids that bothers me that’s a very dangerous stretch of road to there are no sidewalks at all and cars move at a high speed

Why has this incident been kept so quiet? It wasn’t on the internet (except for this small article) and it was on the news once a few days ago when it happened back on September 5. Of course it’s not a bias act, since they are only Jewish children. It doesn’t deserve the same outrage it would have caused if it were anyone else.
