Thousands Gather to Honor Rashi Minkowicz, OBM

On Thursday evening, close to a thousands members of the Jewish community of greater Atlanta gathered at the Chabad Center of North Fulton to mark the Shloshim of beloved Shlucha Mrs. Rashi Minkowicz, OBM, who tragically passed away one month ago.

Chabad of North Fulton, a suburb of Atlanta, was founded by Rashi together with her husband Rabbi Hershy Minkowicz.

Several speakers addressed the gathering, including Rashi’s husband Rabbi Hershy Minkowicz. An especially moving moment occurred when several of Rashi’s children addressed the gathering, leaving not a dry eye in the room.

At the Shloshim, a Sefer Torah in Rashi’s memory was begun, with several of those present taking the opportunity to write its first letters.

A live video of the gathering was broadcast here on CrownHeights.info. A video recording of the full event will be published when it becomes available.
