RAP Holds Raffle Sending Two Bochurim to CH

A packed pulsating dining room of Beis Menachem, also known as the R.A.P, in Jerusalem was abuzz with excited anticipation for a raffle that would be sending two lucky winners to spend Yud Shvat in Crown Heights.

Shliach Gabi Kaltman along with fellow Shluchim Shmuly Karp, Shneur Pershin and Mendy Levy gave over his pre-gorel [raffle] speech.

As Bochurim and Shluchim alike sat in silence, he spoke about the preparation and hard work that each and every Bochur put in towards the Mivtza. He spoke about the nachas ruach they continue to give not only to the Rebbe as well as the Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Gershon  M.M. Avtzon and of course the rest of the yeshiva; each and every Bochur on he’s own right.

The Mivtza included a series of requirements that each Bochur was responsible to fulfill in order to receive a ticket into the Gorel. It took off with flying success and the yidishkeit was palpable. Both Shluchim and Bochurim worked overtime in order to achieve more tickets, and at the same time increase their own chance of spending the auspicious day of Yud Shvat with the Rebbe.

After a succession of “lo zoche” draws, and as time was ticking away, the names of Peretz Goldstein and Matisyahu Gillius, the most fitting Bochurim were drawn and will attend along with many other Chassidim, an awe inspiring weekend in Crown Heights.

We wish them much success both in Yidishkeit and Chassidishkeit, and upon their return may they only succeed in their own learning and in inspiring others with their amazing experience.

A big yasher koach to the Shluchim of the R.A.P who put in countless hardworking hours and many sleepless nights in making sure the dream of this Mivtza came a reality.

    How will these boys gain from being here for Yud Shvat? Who will take care of them & hopefully inspire them through farbrengens and other things? Please don’t leave them to their own devices or you know what will happen to them here for a few days in NYC.

      Your a typical judgmental Jewish person.. They live in nachlaot the capital of Jerusalem party central yet they won this raffle for attending the curriculum instead of being immature kids and partying yet after trying hard to get in they’re gonna come to ch to be irresponsible when they can have all that and more where they currently are? Stupid judgemental person you don’t know nothing about the rap so don’t comment

    There going to be by the ohel the hole time where there are farbraingins and just being in the 4 omoes of the rebbe is some thing like we sew the video this week from jem that the rebbe just moovd a cupel of blucks (i dont anderstand why ch.info wites thell be in ch for yud shvat i dont think taht why there comeing in)

    This article contains some of the worst writing and grammatical errors I have ever seen.

    A few examples:
    1) “He spoke about the nachas ruach they continue to give not only to the Rebbe as well as the Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Gershon M.M. Avtzon and of course the rest of the yeshiva; each and every Bochur on he’s own right.”
    This is probably the least coherent sentence ever to be constructed in the English language.
    Don’t get too fancy with the semicolon unless you know how to use it.
    The proper words would be “in his own right”, not “on he’s own right”.
    2) “the yidishkeit was palpable”
    What is that even supposed to mean?
    3) “in order to achieve more tickets”
    It is virtually impossible for one to achieve tickets to anything.

    There are many other parts of this painful composition to criticize, but I will leave it at that.

    stop hating. this is not an article or an English thesis. It merely is trying to tell you what happened. Rabbi Avtzon’s yeshiva serves a great purpose. The bochurim finally find people who stop hating on them and start supporting them. If you want to spew hate go elsewhere.

    Dear “Anony-mouse” (your moniker should have been “Annoying-mouse”:
    How dare you consider yourself better than some one else and judge two buchrim who earnestly learned and were rewarded with a trip to the Rebbe’s home for Yud Shvat.
    The Rebbe considered every Jew a precious diamond.
    Instead of posting a disgusting and unfounded comment you should busy yourself with learning the basic concept of Ahavas Yisroel. Maybe you can then make a difference in this world and help Jews instead of bashing them. i find it offensive and mostly ignorant.
    To the two buchrim who won this tip i congratulate you and you are the type of Jew who makes the Rebbe proud. keep up the good work
