Shiur for Bochurim Going on Merkos Shlichus for Pesach

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — A special preparatory Shiur took place last night, Tuesday, for the 570 Bochurim who are going out on to make Pesach Sedorim in 285 cities around the world, under Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch’s Merkos Shlichus program.

The gathering was held in Jewish Childrens Museum on Eastern Parkway where the Bochurim heard from Rabbi Menachem Posner, who is on the staff of ask the rabbi at chabad.org, and is multiyear veteran of Merkos Shlichus. Shmuel Kaplan head Shliach to Maryland. Rabbi Shimon Freundlich Shliach to Bejing China, and Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsk, following was R. Sholom Ber Chaikin Shliach to Cleveland, OH who gave a long and in depth Shiur about the Halochos of Pesach and Kashering kitchens along with other Halochos that can arise on Shlichus.

Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Vice Chairman of Merkos, the Chabad-Lubavitch educational division, told Lubavitch.com that despite the dire economic climate, “The Rebbe insisted that every Jew be given the opportunity to participate at a Seder, and we will do everything possible to make sure that happens on the largest scale yet.”
