CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — At around 6:45pm today, Tuesday a cyclist riding down Albany Ave was stuck by a car, between Crown and Montgomery St. The cyclist, a black man, went flying off his bike and sustained minor injuries. He was treated on the scene and later transported by FDNY EMS to a local hospital. The driver of the car, a Jewish man, was visibly shaken up.

The cyclist was changing lanes when the car coming down Albany Ave hit him. It remains unclear whose fault was it. However, whenever there is an accident involving pedestrians or cyclists’, the driver of the vehicle usually assumes blame.

  • Watch out

And it was dry and before sunset. On dark rainy nights black peolple crossing streets are almost invisible.

For everyones sake drive carefully especially on dark rainy nights.

Everyone knows that it’s a contest of bad driving (cell phones, running lights, no turn signals, double parking), vs. irresponcable bike riders, vs. endless jaywalking.
I wasn’t there, I don’t know who’s fault it was, it doesn’t matter for this purpose, car vs. person = person hurt.
Everyone needs to be more careful. I think CH might be the epicenter of accidents because no one is obeying the law.
I got news for you “watch out” someone dressed in all black is invisable too, that’s why there are crosswalks and don’t walk signs, use them. The photog was using his cell phone when clearly behind the wheel, he’s offering evidence of his lawbreaking, what if he hit the car ahead of him? I see people driving while balancing a book on the steering wheel
Is everybody crazy? One of the biggest complaints in Ch is allthe tickets that people get, farnkly there should be more. I watch people braek the law all day, everyday when it comes to driving. Worse is that it hreatens the safety of everyone. This is NYC act like it, or don’t drive, don’t walk
