IDF Gains Control Over 75% of Gaza Strip in Renewed Operations

israelnationalnews

The IDF published a summary of Operation Gideon’s Chariots on Wednesday and revealed that its forces have achieved operational control over approximately 75% of the Gaza Strip. This advancement has enabled the military to expand its activities, strike Hamas’ infrastructure, and weaken its chain of command.

As part of the operation, the IDF established two central corridors:

The “Morag” Corridor, separating Hamas’ Rafah and Khan Yunis Brigades.

The “Magen Oz” Corridor, dividing the Khan Yunis Brigade from east to west.

Since March 18, approximately 10,000 terror targets have been struck by hundreds of fighter jets, aircraft, and naval vessels belonging to the Israeli Air Force and Navy. In the most significant strike, on May 13, a joint IDF-ISA operation in Khan Yunis eliminated senior Hamas leaders Mohammad Sinwar, head of the terrorist organization’s military wing; Mohammad Shabaneh, commander of Hamas’ Rafah Brigade; and Mahdi Quara, commander of the South Khan Yunis Battalion.
