Video: Meet the ‘Shabbulb’

It’s Friday night. Want to read? Go right ahead. Want to sleep? Go right ahead. Meet the Shabbulb, a lightbulb that can be turned on and off on Shabbos, the brainchild of inventor Morty Kohn.

  • Again? Really?

Can’t you people just leave Keddushas Shabbos alone already?
Look how much confusion and harm was caused by the non-member shabbos switch.
    And by the Eric fiasco.
We really don’t need more heterim.
    We need more kedusha.
    Kesiva v’chasima Torah.

If u would bother reading the article u would understand your under ignorance.
And because of ppl like u when Ppl that actually do things like the switch legitimately get criticized it gets ignored.

  • silly

its the shabbos lamp in a bulb.
it never goes off it is just covered.
still creates heat (not as much bec led but still warm)
    useless in 90% of applications
    basically only good for lamps

  • Cher

It’s like kosher lamp. The dif is now with led. Very little heat. And low energy cost. Very cute.

This is nothing like the switch. Doesn’t effect the electric at all it’s simply a cover. No hetairim involved!!!

  • Just saying

On a different note, NO ONE should ever try and cover their lamp with tzitzis! or any other article of clothing c”v!
100% fire hazard/risk, and the ad may very well just give someone the “good idea” of trying it out!
A very baddddd and dangerous idea!
