5 American Bochurim Escape Arab Lynching

A car with five American Yeshiva Bochrim narrowly escaped a lynching this afternoon, after they got lost on their way to the Me’aras Hamchpela in Chevron and ended up in an Arab neighborhood.

Yeshiva World News reports that their car was surrounded and ransacked, with their tefillin and black hats strewn all over the street. The mob of attackers then firebombed the vehicle.

According to the Jerusalem Post, during the incident a local Arab ushered the group into his house, where the tourists awaited rescue by security forces. Police and military forces arrived at the scene and extracted the tourists.

Two of the tourists suffered light-to-moderate wounds and were evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment.

      Which he woudln’t have had to do if the other Arabs weren’t howling for their blood.

    when you drive to chevron
    the highway sign that says “chevron”. actually takes you to the Arab part of chevron.

    you need to follow signs to kiryat arba.

    so it can be very confusing if you are not familiar with the area

    it’s about time they change the highway sign

    and to make matters worse they used to have a check point on the way in to the Arab area so if you went there by mistake the soldiers would let you know

    last week as a gesture to the Arabs they removed the check point.

    it’s a Ness that the Arab family took them into their home.

    best thing when you go to these places or after the green line to hire a sherut
    when i was visiting bethar a lot of people told me “don’t take your car if you don’t know the way” as it is very easy to get lost and find yourself in an arab village
    either sherut or bus!!
