Celebrating the Baal Teshuvah Experience Through Art

The Lubavitch community is made up of many diverse, talented and creative Baal Teshuvahs. A celebration of the contributions the Baal Tshuvahs have made to our community was held on Sunday at the Creative Soul Gallery in Crown Heights, with a wide variety of art, music and poetry.

Presentations were made by: Elad Nehorai, Rivka Nehorai, Matthue Roth, Aaron Roller, Alan Sufrin, Saul Sudin and Yedida Wolf.

The theme of the show was that Baalei Teshuva come from many walks of life, and have been on many journeys before they return to their roots. There is, however, one thing they all have in common: they are all searching for the truth. When they find their way back to Torah true Judaism, they know they have come home.

The night was a very special experience, a celebration of a journey that many took, and the collective joy in how far they have come, and where we can continue to grow – as a community.

The show was curated by Rivkah Siegel and Raiza Malka Hartz.
