Video: The ‘Nice’ Bucket Challenge

In front of Raskin’s Fish Market on Kingston Ave. this afternoon, comedian Moshe Kravitzky had a bucket of ice dumped on his head, but for a good cause – raising $2,000 for Yad L’shliach’s fund for Rabbi Yitzi horowitz, who is suffering from ALS.

  • Dear David...

Yeah it’s amazing how much time people have in
Their hands!!!! Maybe if more people got jobs
It would solve the shuddach crisis! It wouldn’t
Give people so much time to talk about people
    And make up romurs!!

  • Has nothing to do with time.

The Ahavas Yisroel shown by all those people pouring ice water on themselves to help people affected with ALS is wonderful. I thank you from all my heart. Its very easy to criticize. What are you doing watching this you have time on your hand too.
We should never know what kind of a horrible disease this is and if it brings awareness to the cause to find a cure more power to all the people who just for the love of a fellow Jew got themselves wet, I thank you.
Hashem Send a Refuoh Shleimo to Yosef Yitzchok Ben Brocho.

  • Let me ask a question

There are many shuichim who have a much more common disease and need help. It is also an Auto Immune Disease and countless shluchchim suffer with it.

Why ALS that affects one in a million

THis disease is MS and it is much closer to finding a cure thaan ALS which affects a very very small %

    • ALS

Most of the other diseases are sponsored by the Pharmaceuticals because it makes money,
The ALS community people grows about 5600 every year. Because this disease does not have enough people to bring in revenue for the drug companies, they are not interested to go into finding drugs for a small population affected with ALS. I am sorry to say more than 2 people are affected, where do you get your information?
Now that money has been collected to find a cure the scientists have the money to look into every possibility to help. This terrible disease when a cure is found will help people with Parkinson’s disease and people with MS. As I understand they are very much related in the kind of help needed.
May the Almighty find a cure now, help Yosef Yitzchok Ben Brocha, and everyone else Betoch Cholei Am Yisroel

  • Great Job!

This is the ice bucket challenge to raise money for ALS. (Many athletes do this and was also done to raise money for two athelets who have this illness) Everyone who does take part in it is doing something for a good cause. So Mazel Tov on your commitment and a Refuah Shleima to Rabbi Horowitz!
