I watched the video and I would advise everyone to try and make the time to watch it! Its seriously amazing! Rabbi Mangel talks as though this all happened to him yesterday. . . his memories are SO clear, r”l, and hes a perfect example of someone who was tested by Hashem in the most incomprehensible way ever imagined, beyond all imagination, and yet remained steadfast and strong in his beliefs and love for Hashem and Yiddishkeit, despite all he witnessed; He is a lesson to us all, and may he live and be well until 120, and have much nachas from all his children and grandchildren!

    BS”D
There is no doubt all of Klal Yisroel should seek Brachos from this man. Even the Rebbe could get a Brocha from him. Nobody on earth besides people like him and the Kaliver Rebbe (who has GREAT respect for Lubavitch) and quotes the Rebbe, could reach such a level in Emmunah, living Torah, and Avoidas Hashem.

I heard this story first-hand almost 20 years ago. Was amazing then, it’s amazing now.

  • Wow!!

WOW!!! Unbelievable emuna and bitochon. We can all learn a lesson from Rabbi Mangel and not complain about the small insignificant things that bother us on a daily basis.

  • Best Holocaust story

My mother, A“H, was also a survivor who kept the faith – was a great inspiration for the family to do the same. I mean, she lost many of her family, and was deathly ill before liberation. Still had lifelong tzuris, afterwards.
She said about Rabbi Mangel’s 1988 tapes,”Where was G-d,“ that this is the best Holocaust story she ever heard. ”A little boy to go through so much?!”
