Lovely and inspiring video. I am a trained teacher with two degrees, including a master’s in education. I would love to work in chinuch but I can’t afford to live on a 3 or 4-hour a day salary. I would LOVE to work in a Jewish school.

great video to motivate potential teachers, most of the video has shown girls’s schools and ladies teachers, girls’s schools are more successful than the boys’s schools, they are more disciplined and structured, what about the boys, and future men and fathers,we need training for the men now more than ever,so our boys will grow healthy spiritualy and mentaly.

GREAT INSPIRING VIDEO!! On another note…I happen to notice that most of the girls schools featured had a basic uniform but allowed the girls their individuality with a colorful sweater, big ring jewelery, colorful hosiery, long hair. etc. while maintaining a Tznius look… and they seemed to be very involved and immersed in their learning and looked quite happy. ( I know this is only a video). I’m wondering if our schools are too strict with the uniforms down to the nitty gritty of lengths, hair only worn tied, black tights, dark vests and sweaters, black shoes. The Chabad school in my city wont let the girls wear a school sweatshirt over a school blouse…they can only wear the sweatshirt if they have their vests on as well. Why? for what reason. especially in the spring and summer when it’s soo hot…and they also have a Tznius monitor that walks around with a ruler and tries to catch the girls with the length of their skirts…and I’m not talking about just below the knee. The skirt length is required to be 8″ below the knee…but if it’s one or one and half inches shorter than that…the parent is notified to have it altered immediately. I’m all for uniforms….but I think that sometimes it’s taken too far with the one hundred restrictions that comes along with it and leaves a bad taste for the student.
I enjoyed the video. Kol Hakovod to all the Mechanchos!

I am a teacher, and I love teaching, but I have some serious issues with this video.

This video seems to glorify teaching and tries to inspire all frum girls to want to be teachers. How many of us have bad memories from a horrible teacher? How many girls teach because it’s the easy way out, and can end up ruining lives?

Teaching is a wonderful profession-for someone who is good at it. I don’t think we should encourage everyone to become a teacher. We are trusting our children and future with teachers, the least we can to is make sure that they deserve the role.
