Before you run for the hills shouting and screaming over President Obama’s middle east peace plan lets get something straight A) President Obama made it clear, quite clear, crystal clear, he pointed out his unnerving support of Israel and her safety, and i quote “Our commitment to Israel’s security is unshakable” “”Efforts to delegitimize Israel will end in failure. Symbolic actions to isolate Israel at the United Nations in September won’t create an independent state.“ ”Palestinian leaders will not achieve peace or prosperity if Hamas insists on a path of terror and rejection, and Palestinians will never realize their independence by denying the right of Israel to exist”. and B) as if you need to brush up on your history, these things never work out, as you know, President Clinton won a Nobel prize for his efforts and nothing came out of it, NOTHING.

I heard President Obama’s speech. I already know that alot of people are going to be mad at me but I’m an American so if the president honestly feels, after careful consideration and study of the situation, it’s a good idea for Israel to go back to its 1967 border then I have to assume it’s good for United States foreign policy and our country comes first.

The problem is when you legitimize Hamas/Abas destruction of Israel as a valid side and call it a conflict. Is there a Al Qaeda American conflict? How are we going to resolve infidel destruction philosophy? Painful concessions?
Efune is great when he gives over the rebbe’s idea of ask the military experts how to save lives = keeping the buffer zone. That lady is typical “forced out of their homes” believer because keep repeating the lie and it become true.
To Andrea: getting rid of Israel may be better for the US doesn’t mean its just.

Why is it that when it comes to be being strong on Israel’s cheshbon we can express very strong opinion’s? When it comes to Yidishkeit like a mechitza (Tzivos Hashem dinner), tznius, yehi by the parade etc. we become wimps. Only for others we are strong?

You are absolutely right. It’s about time someone spoke up. The Rebbe was strong about everything not just Israel where it is easy for us to talk.
We have become compromisers on Yidishkeit. Only when it is not pertaining to us like giving Israel mussar are we strong!
