New Early Childhood Center Launches in August ’07
Boynton Beach, FL — Palm Beach County will welcome its newest Early Childhood Education Center this August with the opening of Boynton’s Jewish Early Childhood Center. This center will open with a 2 year old and 3 year old program. Pre Kindergarten will be available beginning August, 2008.
The director and administration of the school are not shy to show their pride in the beautiful, brand new facility, as well as their highly qualified staff currently in place for the new school.
Head of School, Mrs. Dina Ciment, stated “no stone was left unturned to bring the very best educational consultants to assist in the design and development of this school. The team has created a state of the art facility exemplifying the best in early childhood planning, not only within the architectural design of the interior spaces and recreational/playground area, but the same thoughtful focus on the way young children learn is the foundation of the curriculum framework of our school. Our mission is to teach to the total child in a holistic approach to early childhood education. A fully integrated program will address language arts, science, math, Judaics, motor skills and social/emotional growth. It is safe to project that this education center will become a jewel of its kind in this young blossoming community.”
Mrs. Leslie Cooper, Director of the School, stressed the school’s philosophy of keeping the student to teacher ratio below average. This is done so that each child can be nurtured in his or her own individual needs. “Our integral philosophy is that each child is like a seedling. With love and nurturing a seedling will blossom. Unfortunately, we see too much of the opposite in today’s educational environments. We believe that each child possesses special and unique gifts. Our professional staff is dedicated to facilitating children to reach their highest potential. By integrating cultural arts, spiritual learning and skill curriculum, layered from our 2 year old program through Pre Kindergarten, children’s higher level thinking skills will be challenged daily. I am therefore so enthusiastic about this opportunity for our precious young children.”
Over $1,000,000 has been spent to date to ensure the finest environment for a child’s growth. In order to maximize the learning experiences for each child, a recreational/playground plaza has been custom designed and manufactured in Texas, and is being shipped and installed in a matter of days. This space to children will be alike an outdoor classroom.
Gardening specialists will instill in the children the responsibility to be guardians of the earth; “greening” our planet with the youngest of caretakers. Music, movement and physical education specialists will enrich the child’s total school experience. Our classrooms are so different from the “vanilla boxes” we are accustomed to seeing at early childhood learning facilities. They are warm and inviting spaces and will showcase the respect we have for children and their work.
All of this and more are part of our sparkling new facility,“ said Mrs. Ciment. ”A picture is worth a thousand words and we invite any interested families to make an appointment to come and see for themselves what we cannot adequately describe in words. We can only impart how excited and passionate we are to be able to open a facility like this for our community’s youngest members .”
While the capital expenses are extraordinarily high and the core philosophies of the school will cause for above normative budget expenditures, the tuition rates will reamin comparable to the others schools in our area, reflecting our inherent desire for our center to afford children the opportunity for exposure to their heritage, roots, and history.
