Chabad in Israeli Hospital Keeps Children Busy

Beit Chabad in Assaf HaRofeh Hospital in Rishon L’Tzion is running a summer camp experience for children who are admitted to day admissions area of the hospital. The program includes drawing, singing, dancing, and workshops, including one on eating healthy, which is run by a health professional under Chabad supervision.
Rabbi Mendy Beckerman explains “This is just a part of our year-long activities in the hospital as it is important to give special attention to the children who receive clinic in the day-admissions unit.
The day admission unit treats all kinds of patients, including those with difficult illnesses that are treated on an outpatient basis.
Rabbi Beckerman explains it is especially important now, during bein hazmanim, when the children often lack an organized framework providing day-to-day activities.
