European Shluchos Convene in Prague

A gala dinner held last night by the European ‘Chana’ Organization hosted 150 Shluchos of the Rebbe, who joined the event from all parts of the continent.

The keynote address at the dinner was delivered by Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Garelik of New York, who was followed by Liba Schtroks, Shlucha to Cologne, Germany, who captivated the crowd with her amazing personal story.

In the course of the program, the Shluchos were introduced to a special ‘Hakhel’ Project, culminating with the distribution of a row of valuable prizes including a golden necklace with a pendant – a coin given from the Rebbe, set in a ring of diamonds, a gift of Shaindy Jewelry of Kfar Chabad, a credit slip of 3000 ILS towards purchasing a wig by Wig-Stylist Chagit Bitton, and credit slips for personal treatments with various professionals.

Due to the large volume of participants, three separate lecture rooms were set up earlier in the day, where speeches were delivered both in Hebrew and in English.

The opening session was chaired by the Shluchos Dina Segal and Chani Axelrod of Ukraine, who highlighted their narrative with an exclusive presentation of dilemmas challenging Shluchos worldwide, to which solutions were offered by the participating Shluchos.

‘Chana’ Organization Director Mrs. Chani Margolin said that a high demand for participation forced the organization to close registration earlier than in previous years, which, unfortunately, left out dozens of Shluchos who were not able to take part in the event, although the organization grew by 30% compared to previous years.
