Sinai Lubavitch Schools in France Salute Success

A network of Lubavitch schools in France, founded by the legendary educator Rabbi Hillel Pevzner OBM, celebrated its continued success in the face of daily terror threats, with hundreds turning out in support.

Boasting some 3,000 students in its network of four school in Paris and its suburbs, including the Sinai School, Heichal Menachem, KiTov and Beth Hillil, the cover all grades for both boys and girls.

“With the current financial climate and security situation in France and especially in the Jewish communities, which is one of the largest in the world, it is important to convey a positive message and to reinforce the future and development of the community” said one of the dinner organizers, adding “this is one of the messages that the Shluchim are broadcasting with themselves as examples with their daily activities and outreach.”

The Sinai Educational Network (Cité de L’Education Sinai) is one of Frances most prominent, recently opening its fourth school in a new location named Beth Hillel Campus, after the networks founder Rabbi Hillel Pevzner OBM, a legendary educator and authority on Jewish law.

Taking place last week Thursday, the seventh of Adar, the gala dinner drew hundreds of people from many different backgrounds, which make up the school’s faculty and parent body, alongside donors, Rabbonim and community leaders.

The dinner was a unique experience of Hakhel, and was one of the first to feature completely separate seating, which turned out to be a major Kiddush Hashem.

The events guest of honor was Rabbi Yehuda Leib Groner, one of the Rebbes secretaries, who awakened the crowd to write a pidyon nefesh to the Rebbe and to generously support the network of Moisdos.

Mr. Meir Habib, a French parliamentarian and proud Jew, spoke about the miracle of the Sinai Network who only grew stronger in the face and threat of terror. He commented that he was especially impressed how after the recent tragedy the Pevzner family suffered when their son Shneur Zalman OBM passed away they only continued and were not deterred.

As a personal friend of the Pevzner family and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Mr. Habib introduced a video that was recorded specially for the event where Mr. Netanyahu related the words of the Lubavitcher Rebbe how not to be daunted when facing many detractors.
