Moscow Synagogue Celebrates New Torah

With much pomp and joy, a newly completed Sefer Torah was introduced to the Chabad synagogue in the “Chmobniki” neighborhood of Moscow.

The Sefer Torah was sponsored by the Shul’s congregants.

The ceremony began with the writing of the last letters of the Torah; the honor of writing the final letter was given to Russia’s chief Rabbi Berel Lazar.

The Torah was then paraded under a Chuppah, in a procession led by the Shul’s spiritual leader, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Chersonsky.
