Most recently, Chabad of Sharon organized a community Chanukah Hakhel Event in memory of Ezra Schwartz HYD, who was murdered by Palestinian terrorists in Israel. The event was a part of the world wide campaign to #addlight4Ezra, which was launched by Berri Wolosow, son of Rabbi Wolosow.

Three hundred community members, representing all the Shuls in the area, joined together for an incredible magic show, a march for Ezra and Public Menorah Lighting.

Mrs. Ruth Schwartz shared beautiful memories of Ezra and his love for life and for people and Ezra’s friends spoke about their friendship.

13-year-old Hillel Schwartz, lit the Menorah and led the crowd in the song of Ani Maamin. Rabbi Wolosow shared the Rebbes message, stating we will never leave a spot empty, but rather fill it and continue to spread and add light in Ezra’s memory.

“This program is really beautiful. It makes me really appreciate all the love and support from our community and friends,” Schwartz concluded.

The community felt uplifted and touched by the event thanks to Rabbi Wolosow and Chabad of Sharon.
