New Shluchim to Utah

With the excitement and inspiration of the Kinus Hashluchim still fresh, Chabad of Utah, based in Salt Lake City, is proud to announce that they are adding another couple to their staff, bringing the Chabad presence in the state to three full-time families.

Rabbi Avremi Zippel and his wife Sheina (nee Levin) have been appointed as the new Program and Youth Directors, and will be moving to town shortly, planning to arrive in their place of Shlichus in time for the upcoming holiday of Chanukah.

Their new duties will include directing the Hebrew School, Chabad Preschool, Camp Gan Israel, and programs for local Jewish teens and college students. The Zippels will also be tasked with strengthening the local community, through educational programs and classes in the Chabad House.

The Zippels were appointed by Rabbi Benny and Sharonne Zippel, Head Shluchim and Executive Directors of Chabad of Utah.

“We are delighted to announce the hiring of our new Shluchim. With both Avremi and Sheina having been born and raised on Shlichus, and years of Youth Education between the two of them, we are extremely excited to begin this next phase of Chabad of Utah,” said Rabbi Benny Zippel.

“We are looking forward to this tremendous Zchus and Achrayus to help Yiddishkeit in Salt Lake City and the surrounding areas, be taken to the next level. We hope to channel the inspiration we learned from our parents, growing up on Shlichus, in bringing the Rebbe’s vision to the entire Jewish community”, said Rabbi Avremi Zippel.
