Photos: Lag Ba’omer in Tasmania

Rabbi and Mrs. Yochanan Gordon are interviewed by local media.

Lag Ba’omer was celebrated for the very first time in northern Tasmania, an island south of Australia, in a town called Jackey’s Marsh.

Arranged by Tasmania’s Shluchim Rabbi and Mrs. Yochanan Gordon, the event took place on the property of the Jez family, and was enjoyed by all, with a barbecue, bonfore and festive music.

Local television came to report on the festivities.
