Despite Naysayers, Borough Park Parade a Success

The Great Lag Ba’omer Parade in Borough Park, organized by local Shliach Rabbi Aron Ginsberg, was an overwhelming success despite the persistent efforts of certain elements in the community to try and put a stop to it.

Certain members of the community, who oppose Lubavitch and everything it stands for, were horrified that every year, thousands of ‘Heimishe’ Jewish children in their community attend a Lubavitch-run event that is a Massive Kiddush Hashem and a tremendous show of Jewish pride.

Despite their persistent efforts to grind it to a halt, including the spreading of defamatory ‘Pashkvills’ and canvassing the neighborhood with loudspeakers denouncing the parade in the days leading up to Lag Ba’omer (see below), the children of the community showed up to the parade – in greater numbers than ever – with smiling faces and excitement, ready to participate in this monumental event.

Thousands of children marched down 18th Ave. holding up signs of various Miztvos and Jewish themes. They were accompanied by several floats that had just come from the Lag Ba’omer parade in Crown Heights.

The Parade concluded at an area baseball field, which quickly filled with the thousands of children, who went on to enjoy an exciting program. They recited the 12 Pesukim, heard a fascinating story, and enjoyed the entertaining shows and prizes.

Many of the children seized the opportunity to purchase their own personal letter in the Sefer Torah written on behalf of ‘Yaldei Yisroel.’

  • Ho Hum

Seems to me rather tame for a Pashkvil. Amollege tzeiten. they knew how to write a geshmake pashkvil. This one barely even counts.

Were there any better paskvillin? I rate this one somewhere between a “meh” and a yawn.

  • Need translation

Looks like the children enjoyed. Please translate what the Pashkvill says.

  • one of my b.p family

A family of mine in borough patk told me.. yhe pashkaville is usless as it has no rabbonim sign on it so who took notice of it. They have yirad hashrm and yirad rabbonim. But this he said was a joke

  • playing with FIRE

Who ever wrote and/or was behind the pashkvill is starting up with the Rebbe’s shliach and mosid.
It is well known that if you dare do such a thing you are playing with fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
