Education Minister Inspired by Chabad School
Last week, the Israeli Deputy Minister of Education, Mr. Avi Worzman, paid a visit to the Or Avner Chabad Educational Institute in Elmhurst, Queens, run by local Shluchim Rabbi Zalman Zalmanov and Rabbi Yitzchok Wolowik.
Hundreds of students came out to greet him with much excitement and anticipation. Mr. Levi Leviev, the school’s patron, was also present to welcome the minister.
Mr. Worzman toured the campus, and was very moved by the vibrant institution and its contribution to the continuity of Jewish education in the United States.
