Beis Moshe Chaim Goes on Shlichus to Florida

FLORIDA [CHI] — A group of girls from the Beis Moshe Chaim seminary in St. Agathe in Canada spent 3 weeks on Shlichus in Florida, where they took over two Chabad Houses in Coconut Creek and Highland Lakes.

From the 3rd till the 20th of February the girls from seminary BMC, St. Agathe, Canada run by Rebbetzin Carlebach, went to Florida on Shlichus to take over two Chabad houses/ schools in Coconut Creek (Rabbi & Rebbetzin Gansburg) and Highland Lakes (Rabbi & Rebbetzin Kievman).

The purpose of this trip was to give an opportunity to the girls to observe, learn and work side by side with Shluchim.

The first week the girls observed teachers in their classes and taught in Baila Gansburg’s special needs school, South Florida Jewish Academy. The school is based on the well known saying “Chanoch Le’naar al pi darko,” where each child’s potential is developed by teaching him in the best way they can learn.

Rabbi and Rebbetzin Kievman run a one of a kind Hebrew after school program where after school hours, Jewish public school students attend a fun filled learning program. 200 students are registered in this program with approximately100 showing up daily Monday through Friday.

The second week due to the absence of both Shluchim the girls participated in ensuring the Chabad Houses were run properly. Rabbi and Rebbetzin Kievman organized a cruise for the members of their Shul, and they were joined by Rabbi and Rebbetzin Carlebach, as well as Rabbi and Rebbetzin Gansburg.

The girls were amazed and grateful to have had such a great Shlichus opportunity.

Chaya P. says: “Being around such amazing Shluchim really made me realize how important and necessary their work is. Their efforts and devotion really impressed me. If each one of us would just make a quarter of their efforts this world would be such a better place”

Racheli says: “Ein doma reyia Leshmia, in my life I have heard lots of beautiful stories about Shluchim that really impressed me. But actually being there, seeing them day by day give their heart and soul, watching them overcome everyday struggles, that, really made a big impact on me.”

Haya K. says: “Working side by side with the Shluchim inspired me to the point that I decided that wherever I will be I will work hard to fulfill my Shlichus in this world ”

Chaya B. says: “What impressed me the most was seeing special and non-special needs kids learning, playing and overcoming challenges side by side, and not looking twice at a special need child because they consider them just like everyone else”.
Esther says: “What amazed me the most was the unbelievable Emunah and trust the Shluchim had in G-d and the Rebbe. Hearing their stories of how they accomplished what they have now, all the struggles and challenges they went through, when people told them they would never make it and they didn’t give up…if only we would have such will power we could accomplish so much more and make the Rebbe even prouder”

Sterna B. says: “I used to think that Shlichus and teaching wasn’t really for me, but working side by side with such wonderful people really inspired me. I was surprised to find myself really enjoying teaching.”

“We want to thank first of all our amazing principal Rebbetzin Carlebach that made this trip happen, and Rabbi & Rebbetzin Gansburg and Kievman for receiving us with such warmth, and for giving us this great opportunity” said all the who participated.
