The Huntington Jewish Academy opens New Location

MELVILLE, NY [CHI] — The Huntington Jewish Academy, an affiliate of Chabad of Huntington, is excited to announce the expansion of their Hebrew School with the opening of their new Huntington Village location for the upcoming 2008-2009 school year.

“We are pleased that we were able to secure the use of the Huntington Center for Performing Arts at 310 New York Ave in the heart of Huntington Village,” said Rabbi Asher Vaisfiche, Director of Chabad. “This will enable many unaffiliated Huntington Village families to send their children to a low cost Hebrew School right in their very back yard.

As one Huntington parent so aptly expressed her emotions; Hebrew School was for my child but it transformed my life. Becoming Kosher and being treated so respectfully has changed my views on our religion. For this and more I am forever thankful to Rabbi Asher Vaisfiche and the Chabad of Huntington Hebrew School.
