Children learn about their heritage in a hands-on and fun way at Chabad’s Krafts For Kids at 7832 Ventnor Ave in Margate.

MARGATE, NJ — Chabad at the Shore has announced the opening of it’s new location in the heart of Ventnor, at 6412 Ventnor Ave., where the new facility will house the Chabad Ventnor Shul, a newly formed Chabad minyan, which focuses on prayer through singing and joy.

“The new building is centrally located on the Absecon Island” said Rabbi Avrohom Rapoport, director of the new initiative. “We hope to be able to serve the many Jewish people who don’t live within walking distance to the other synagogues.” Services, the rabbi said, will be held every Friday evening at sundown and Saturday mornings at 9:30 a.m.

The Pinchus Kiedjan Chabad House in Margate will continue to be used for educational classes, JLI courses,Chabad offices and the Gan Israel Day Camp. The Chabad House is also hosting the Zichron Jack Trocki M’vilna Shabbos Minyan.

Summer activities are already in full swing with the re-opening of “Krafts For Kids” at 7832 Ventnor Ave., Margate, a place for children to learn about their heritage in a hands-on and fun way. Each Friday children are given the opportunity to bake their own Challah together with their families.

Chabad’s Camp Gan Israel is scheduled to begin June 30 with a full schedule of activities, trips, sports, swimming and more. Gan Israel is part of the largest network of Jewish day camps in the world.

Two exciting Shabbatons are planned this summer. The first one which will take place July 18 is entitled “A Musical Shabbos Experience” featuring award-winning Cantor Berel Tzuker.

The second Shabbaton will once again feature Rabbi Ascher Crispe, renowned speaker, scholar and kabbalist. Both will feature a full course Shabbat dinner.

Additional summer activities include The Kosher Cruise on July 13, and the annual Jewish Summer Fest on Aug. 24.

“All of our programming is open to the entire community regardless of Jewish background or affiliation” said Rabbi Rapoport.

    Excellent way to begin by having Rabbi Asher Crispe. He is an unbelievable speaker. I’ve heard him a number of times and am blown away by his brilliance and his ability to make the highest of concepts totally understandable. All the hatzlacha!!!
