New Chabad House in Colorado for 1.7 Million
DENVER, CO — Since September 2003 the Chabad Jewish Center serving the Jewish community of South Metro Denver, has been a beacon at the crossroads serving the religious, educational, social and pastoral needs of hundreds of Jews. The Jewish Center has provided hundreds of Jewish families with a vibrant, inclusive community in which they are unequivocally accepted and embraced.
Chabad Jewish Center has grown tremendously over the past few years in many ways. In fact, it has become a victim of its own success. The present facility can no longer accommodate the growing number of Hebrew School students, holiday participants, and those wishing to join the ever growing roster of activities and services.
In response, the Jewish Center is under contract to purchase a new facility. This spacious building will allow for hundreds more men, women and children to be inspired and infused with love and pride in their Jewish identity.
The $1.7 million purchase of the Lone Tree Academy Campus, located in the heart of South Metro Denver, and ensuing $500,000.00 on renovations will greatly enable Chabad to accommodate the growing number of Hebrew School students, holiday participants, Adult Education, Youth programs and day to day activities that it provides to the community.
