PSA: Roadwork in Crown Height Wednesday and Thursday

Thousands of Crown Heights residents left there houses Wednesday morning to find Kingston Ave, and many attached streets, closed for road milling.
The Crown Heights roadwork Schedule will be as follows:
Wednesday – Kingston Ave from Crown Street through Eastern Parkway, work begins at 7:00am and complete by approximately 2:00pm
Thursday – Kingston Ave from Empire Blvd to Crown Street, work begins at 7:00am and complete by approximately 2:00pm
Friday – Rochester Ave from Crown Street to East New York Ave
The city workers will return in two weeks to repave.

Why in the world would they be paving the CH streets in 2 weeks erev pesach one of the busiest times of the year?
