Oholai torah closed and or menachem open?!?
THAT PROVES WHAT EVERYBODY IS SAYING THAT “OR MENACHEM IS THE NEW OHOLAY TORAH!

  • Frustrated With This SChool!

Amazing chutzpa of BMOS MENACHEM to have parents call at 6AM to inquire if school is open???

    HUH? 6 AM??

How does that make ANY sense at all?

Oholei Torah Mesifta was open today till around 4:30pm at which point Rabbi Willhelm arranged busses so the boys would not have to walk home. It is going to be open tomorrow.

kids in ot had classes with their teachers over the phone, and they loved it! my eight grader wanted to know why didn’t they do it again in the afternoon. good job to the principals for showing the kids they care about torah learning and bitul zman. we are really thankfull for it.

  • Dear CH.INFO

uly crown is NOT closed. Preschool is closed and grades pre 1a through 8th grade have regular school. (as per their message this morning). Please update your school closures.

    Thanks

  • Beis rivkah!

I understand and appreciate the need to be safe… But what Beis Rivkah is saying makes me laugh! “We are closed because Mayor Bloomburg has closed all public schools”. The reason for that is, it is hard to say PS whatever on Empire Blvd is open but PS whatever in Battery park is closed. It will come to that, but for now easier for Mayor to just close all public schools. As well, Most public school students utilize public transportation, which currently is non existent! I have no problem dropping and picking my daughter up from school. Plus even if they announced on Monday that there is no school on Tuesday. What the big deal to backtrack and say, ‘WE GOT GOOD NEWS, Starting at 10:30am!

So dangerous that there is school today. Winds are at 30-50mph, for the third day in a row. That means weakened tree limbs, which kids will have to walk under because there are no (Board of Ed) busses. Not to mention downed or weakened power lines, tree limbs that are already down, weakened roofs, etc. (yes that’s a thing, e.g. 1414 President…).
It’s just silly and extremely not smart, demanding children risk that to come to school.

There was absolutely no reason to close today, and even yesterday could have stayed open at least half a day, if not a full day.

One school in Crown Heights was open yesterday! Kol Hakavod!!!

  • To the complainers:

Just relax! The ain thing is everyone shuld be safe. Truthfully it is better if the schools have a chance to clean up, and wait until it is safer for walking!

You should know that Cheder Ohr Menachem was probably the only school open on Monday until 12 pm. Yasher koach! /they kept the world in existence with their Torah. Please include Beis Chaya Mushka and Cheder Ohr Menachem in future. We don’t only check chabad.info.
