Picture of the Day

This picture shows the block of Eastern Parkway between Kingston and Brooklyn before 770 was built.

A book was recently printed about 770 that included this from a different angle. I always knew that if I went back to the original collection I would find more pictures. It took a while to realize that this is also the block of 770 because I thought that the rest of the block was built first.

Turns out Union Street was built before this block was. This was 1916 and the lot of 770 had 1 or 2 structures that were taken down and then then 770 plans were announced in 1933.
