The Iconic Photo From The Surfside Collapse

by CrownHeights.info

Each and every historical event has its photo, a frozen moment in time that encompasses all the pain, fear, sweat and tears, all in one photograph.

From the planting of the American flag on Iwo Jima, to the famous photos of the Warsaw Ghetto, it is safe to say that this photo might very well be the one that lasts forever as the photo of the Surfside collapse.

The photo was taken on the rubble pile that was just weeks ago the Champlain Towers. There, an IDF officer wearing the Isareli flag on his shoulder hands over a stack of Sefarim found in collapsed building to another Rescue worker.

The building housed tens of Jewish people, many of whom have already been discovered deceased over the past days.
