Weekly Unique Photos of the Rebbe!

Crownheights.info and the Avner Institute present this unique collection of photos of the Rebbe – from a unique ceremony that took place on the 16th of Sivan 5735 upon the completion of the English Tanya, which was printed in London. The project was headed by Rabbi Zalmen Jaffe, OBM.

    Mr Jaffe was very close to the Rebbe, who clled him Mr Manchester, but didnt have Semicha.
    Why do they flout the word Rabbi so much in Lubavitch !

    Having met Mr Jaffe a number of times I think he would find it quite hilarious that you have given him smicha :)

    He was a wonderful and generous supporter of Lubavitch in England and extremely close to the Rebbe & Rebbitzen. He was the major supporter of a number of innovative programs – one of the most far reaching was the English Tanya which is why the Rebbe gave it so much support. I understand that the Rebbe even autographed the copies that he is giving out in these photos.
