They forget about Dina deMolchusa Dina is first, and secondly, we can’t miss that it’s yidden who are following the City rules. When there is signs on the road it’s for your OWN SAFETY, not the cops or city workers. Do you think about your parents, family or others when you take a risk? Please think twice!!!

  • good luck with that

There was a teen that was playing ball in Oholei Torah’s yard and the ball went over the fence with barbed wire. The teen decided to climb over and retrieve his ball. Ten minutes later, he is walking in to the building with pants and shirt all shredded up as well as cuts an his hands and legs. When asked how it happened he said I went to get my ball from the other side of the fence. What about the barbed wire I asked him he answered, “its to keep other people out”. So good luck with that.

I can’t believe that besides his akshonus to cross the barriers, he talks on the cell phone as he’s dangerously crossing which just multiplies the danger he’s putting himself in. If I were a driver that hit in to him, I would sue him for the damage to my vehicle. I hope he wises up.

If you are going to publisise people that walk accross the street you might as well publisise every Averah going on in CH!!!!!!!!!!

No offense, but what happens when a visitor gets hit by a car, chas v’shalom? If said visitor even has insurance, it likely does not cover him/her in America. That means Hatzalah, Ahavas Chessed, and Bikur Cholim all wind up footing the bill – why should my tzedaka go to someone with no seichel?

No.1: Bochurim who come from Israel (and other places) don’t really know the American road system and without giving them ‘classes :)’ when they come in, they’ll think that they can cross in heavy traffic etc.

No.2: If you want to be a respectable person, or a respectable website, it is wise to blur out civilian/private police faces in some types of photos.

People make your own choices. They better make them right! <:)

  • The problem is

If the guy wants to cross let him cross, why is everybody making such a big deal, I think the real issue is that the laws in this country protect people like him if they Ch’v get hit then they can sue the driver, they should change the rules after all these barriers are there to protect him, so if he doesn’t want to be protected he shouldn’t be able to complain and sue if it is his fault.

to #18- even an out of towner know’s not to run through traffic at an earlier age. i really believe u weren’t serious about giving them classes. show their faces so that people who care about their welfare can aproach them and show them a wiser way to get to where they are going so thoughtlessley. an associate of mine who was certainly a mature adult broke down on a major road.instead of walking off and going underneath to get to the other side she ran accross the road and was killed by a car doing the speed limit (65) BTW i mean well and my spelling is poor.. eastern parkway has eight lane of traffic. people need to watch and cross at the intersection only at a freshly green light. the end. peace

    1. As someone who lived a long time in Israel & had kids there, I take offense. Are you one of those who thinks people live in tents there?! Children (and adults) are taught traffic rules just like in N. America. Or so I thought.

    2. To some of you other people: As the relative of a victim of one of these groisser chochoms who walked out in front of the car, maybe if these guys know they will be caught on film for all to see, they’ll think twice before doing it… (maybe wishful thinking on my part).
