Lubavitcher Yeshiva Brings the Halachos and Minhagim of Elul to Life

As the talmidim of Lubavitcher Yeshiva learned the halachos and minhagim of Chodesh Elul, the Yeshiva turned the learning into a real-life experience.

The talmidim learned the importance of checking tefillin and mezuzos. Rabbi Mendy Tiefenbrun, sofer, was brought to the Yeshiva to check the mezuzos throughout the building.

In each classroom, the talmidim watched as their mezuzah was carefully removed and checked, learning firsthand what a sofer looks for and what goes into making sure that a mezuzah is kosher and mehudar.

Afterwards, the talmidim had the opportunity to participate as the mezuzah was properly returned to the classroom door.

What began as a halacha learned in class became something the children could see and experience.

By bringing the minhagim of Elul to life, the talmidim were able to connect their learning with practical action, making the lesson that much more meaningful and memorable.
