Inspiring Siyum HaShas Celebrated at Oholei Torah Mesivta Graduation
Oholei Torah Mesivta gathered for an inspiring evening celebrating the graduation of the Shiur Gimmel talmidim, highlighted by an extraordinary Siyum HaShas completed by talmid Menachem Mendel Feldman.
The program opened with a video of the Rebbe, followed by a dvar Torah delivered by HaTomim Yitzchak Greenwald.
Throughout the evening, each of the four Shiur Gimmel Maggidei Shiur addressed the graduates, sharing words of Torah, guidance, and encouragement. The speakers included Rabbi Mendel Hildesheim, Rabbi Zalman Gurary, Rabbi Foli Dubov, and Rabbi Peretz Kaplan, reflecting on the growth and accomplishments of the bochurim throughout their years in Mesivta.
One of the most powerful and inspiring moments of the evening was the Siyum HaShas by Menachem Mendel Feldman, an extraordinary achievement that filled the room with excitement and emotion. What began shortly before his Bar Mitzvah with the modest goal of completing a single masechta blossomed into a remarkable journey of unwavering dedication to Torah. Nurtured and encouraged every step of the way by his devoted mechanchim, menahelim, mashpi’im, and roshei yeshivah, Mendel’s passion for learning continued to grow until, with tremendous perseverance, countless hours of hasmadah, and siyata d’Shmaya, he completed the entire Shas just hours before the graduation ceremony. The historic accomplishment was met with immense pride and admiration, inspiring everyone present and serving as a powerful reflection of what can be achieved through dedication and love of Torah.
Mendel delivered a beautiful dvar Torah after the siyum, inspiring everyone in attendance. His father, Rabbi Levi Feldman, a rebbi in Oholei Torah Mechina, then addressed the gathering, reflecting on his son’s remarkable journey and expressing heartfelt appreciation to the yeshiva for the guidance, encouragement, and support that helped make this achievement possible.
Following the siyum, Rabbi Mendel Blau, Roish Moissed, addressed the graduates and attendees with words of inspiration. Rabbi Moshe Silman, Menahel of the Mesivta, also spoke, congratulating the graduates and recognizing Mendel’s exceptional accomplishment by presenting him with a Talmud Yerushalmi. Rabbi Silman then presented graduation certificates to each member of Shiur Gimmel.
The program also featured heartfelt remarks from Rabbi Yitzchok Raskin, father of one of the graduates, who thanked the Mesivta hanhalah and rebbeim for their unwavering dedication to every talmid.
Serving as master of ceremonies was Rabbi Zalman Laufer, Sgan Menahel, who guided the evening with warmth and enthusiasm.
The memorable evening was marked by a festive fleishig seudah, where graduates, families, and rebbeim celebrated together, marking both the completion of years of Mesivta learning and the remarkable accomplishment of a Siyum HaShas. It was a fitting tribute to the dedication of the graduates and to the Torah environment that continues to flourish at Oholei Torah.
